Around the "Founding Fathers" of the Theory of Organization, we have developped in partnership with the Center of the Sociology of the Organizations and Erhard Friedberg, the project so called "The Living Archives of the Theory of Organizations" in Europe and the United States."
This ambitious project involves creating a multimedia and audiovisual history of organizational thought, and was realized thanks to a partnership with the firm Ernst & Young Consulting, and with the financial support of a large number of public and private institutions, most notably Sciences PO (Paris).
Erhard Friedberg spearheaded the project in collaboration with the multimedia director Marie-Hélène Oulion. The undertaking involves three major components:
The creation of the "Living Archives..." which took the form of filmed interviews with the founding fathers of organizational theory in Europe and the United States. Twenty-seven interviews have so far been conducted.
The creation of multimedia teaching tools based on these interviews, of which some products are already available: a fisrt collection of CD-ROMs titled "In Search of Organization" (only in French language), another collection od DVD-ROMS "Issues in Organizaton" that proposed "Decision-Making" and "Cooperations."
The DVDs series "The Living Archives of the Theory of Organization", which proposed :
